Let’s face it, deadlines work.
As a dyed-in-the-wool procrastinator, one of the only things that helps me get things done is a looming deadline. It’s how I’m able to be an effective freelancer (I don’t want my editors to think I’m a flake), it’s how I finally started The Write Pitch (I picked a date & did it), and it’s how I finally, finally wrote and published a novel (that you should TOTALLY buy. Just saying.).
Deadlines are my little angels that help me get ish done.
Back in September, I set a deadline to write and publish a book in 30 days. I did it in 40, releasing Turn It Loose on October 10, 2013.
Boom. Just like that.
But meeting my goal made me hungry for more, only this time I want YOU to join me!
Starting on Halloween (October 31st for those of you outside of the U.S.), we’re kicking off another 30 day challenge.
The #BlackFridayChallenge will run from October 31 to November 29th, and during that time we’re going to sprint as fast as we can toward ONE big goal.
For me, that means writing a follow-up to Turn It Loose. For you, it might mean losing weight, working on a project, setting up your business, or making enough money on your side-hustle to book a vacation, or reading four books.
Whatever the case may be, the point of the #BlackFridayChallenge is to DREAM BIG & GO HARD.
If you want to jumpstart your life and start moving toward your dreams, join us for the #BlackFridayChallenge and begin building momentum toward your dreams.
I have multiple goals, but my two main goal is to consistently write in my blog and finish my e-book from the Amazon Challenge.
Nice! Can’t wait to see you knock these out!
Weight loss goal: drop 10 lbs
School goal: be on the way to 2-A’s in my classes
Professional goal: complete the first drafts for my articles due in Jan.
Woot!
Girl…the weight loss goals are REAL…lol. I’m right there with you (8lbs).
Good luck!
I have so many goals, and I think that’s why I never see things through. My goal for this challenge is to start making money blogging/writing. I’m trying to save for my wedding/honeymoon. Thanks for hosting this challenge!
Try narrowing them down so they are manageable? One at a time, then knock ’em out!
I have 3…to get my workshops set up, submit proposals to several organizations for my workshops, and get started on my book.
Sounds dope!
I’m so in! My goals will be perfecting my presentation for Melissa Harris-Perry’s Gender, Sexuality and Hip Hop Conference, working out four days a week and making sure I’m ten minutes early to every single appointment I make.
Good luck! I’m always late…maybe I should adopt your 10-minutes early goal lol
I have a catrillion goals. The main one is to finish the book I’ve been working on since last year within the next 30 days.
You got this!
My goals are starting grad school in 2 months and going on acting auditions. I wish everybody success.
I completed the challenged and published my first #ebook with Amazon. It’s called Linden Avenue.
Glad to hear it!! CONGRATSS
